On day 26 of the Cedric Benson holdout, "War Room" Jerry Angelo issued a statement which basically said that the Bears are not going to offer any more money and if anything their offer is going to start dropping. Clearly the Bears are at their limit and this public statement was to put pressure on Agent Eugene Parker and the last remaining unsigned draft pick Cedric Benson.

Cedric Benson finally signs after a 35 day hold out. Benson missed all of training camp and most of the pre-season schedule and rode the bench for the first half of the regular season.
