Winning percentage formulas were based on wins and losses only. Ties counted neither for nor against wins and losses. So despite that fact that the Packers had more wins their winning percentage was .750 to the Bears .875. The NFL would continue to calculate winning percentages this way until the 1972 season: then a tie would count as 1/2 a win and loss.
