Information on Luke Johnsos is hard to come by. If you have any sources or insight, please let me know.
Johnsos along with Hunk Anderson became the Chicago Bears 3rd and 4th head coach. George Halas had left the Bears mid-season 1942 to serve in the Navy during World War II. Anderson and Johnsos worked as co-Head coaches for the second half of the 1942 seasons. At the conclusion of that season, Johnsos retired and joined the U.S. Navy. Hunk Anderson assumed the Head Coaching duties until Halas' return in 1946.
Coaching Career
I believe Johnsos was also the Northwestern Head Coach for a time. But I can’t seem to find whether it was after his playing days or after his Bears coaching days. Any information would be helpful.
•1942-1945—Chicago Bears Co-Head Coach w/ Hunk Anderson.
•1938-1941—Chicago Bears Assistant?—(assuming that after his playing days Johnsos worked for Halas on the sideline)
Playing Career
•1929-1937—Chicago Bears TE/DE
•1925-1928—Northwestern University
